About the Role

  • B2B Account Manager role, growing and maintaining existing business customers

Duties include:
  • Researching and identifying business opportunities 
  • Selling products and services to new existing business customers through various methods, developing relationships and setting up meetings
  • Looking after an established base of clients, growing relationships and levels of business year on year
  • Being the first port of contact for incoming enquiries
  • Speaking with key contacts within businesses over the telephone and forming new contacts within those accounts
  • Networking via social media and events, including attending exhibitions
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by providing support, information and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities and service improvements
  • Identifying product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
  • Working with internal teams to assist with projects and key clients
  • Preparing reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information
  • Logging information on various systems
You will need:
  • Recent account management experience and success within a sales-orientated role; ability to build relationships and make a positive impact
  • A proven track record of account growth; managing your own portfolio of clients
  • Experience of researching and developing new business
  • Creative thinking, excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to speak with key contacts, gaining increased business levels
  • Experience of driving an account management programme
  • Excellent telephone manner, excellent communication skills
  • Drive and determination to succeed; a passion for sales and relationship-building in a fast-paced environment
